Faith Lutze<\/a> served as president of the Academy of Criminal Justice Sciences (ACJS)<\/em> for 2018-2019. ACJS is an international association established in 1963 to foster professional and scholarly activities in the field of criminal justice. ACJS promotes education, research, and policy analysis within the discipline of criminal justice for educators and practitioners. The 2019 ACJS meetings were held in Baltimore, and the conference theme, Justice, Human Rights, and Activism<\/em>, inspired participants to transform the criminal justice system through a human rights framework steeped in activism. <\/span>In addition, professors Otwin Marenin<\/a>, Amelie Pedneault<\/a>, and Dale Willits<\/a>, as well as several WSU Criminal Justice alumni, generously served on the national program as topic chairs, guaranteeing a unique and impressive program.
