The CJC-GSA serves as the official graduate student body for the Department of Criminal Justice and Criminology at Washington State University. Our mission is to support and advocate for graduate students by fostering communication with faculty, providing mentorship opportunities, promoting community engagement, encouraging professional development, and organizing social events that build connection and camaraderie.

Purpose 

The Criminal Justice and Criminology Graduate Student Association (CJC-GSA) is dedicated to advancing the graduate experience in the Department of Criminal Justice and Criminology at Washington State University.

We serve as the collective voice of our graduate student community—advocating for student interests, fostering professional and academic growth, and strengthening connections within the department, across the university, and beyond.

Whether through mentorship, dialogue with leadership, or community-building initiatives, the CJC-GSA is committed to supporting you throughout your graduate journey.

Membership

All graduate students currently enrolled in the Washington State University Graduate School and pursuing a degree in Criminal Justice and Criminology—across any campus—are considered members of the Criminal Justice and Criminology Graduate Student Association (CJC-GSA).

As a member of the student body, you’re both represented by the CJC-GSA and eligible to run for elected positions within the organization. Whether you’re looking to connect, lead, or contribute, there’s a place for you here.
